This design creates a link between object and person. Only through human interaction does the true nature of the object reveal itself. Normann Copenhagen is a pair of glasses that when looked through, allows us to see a world masked in simplicity, elegance, and joy. Unlike other speakers, this piece was crafted with the intention to hide its abilities from the average viewer. When walking into a space it is normal for humans to search for the sources of light and sound and are often quick to locate these sources.
With the PUSH Speaker, the notion that speakers must look like speakers is no longer the case. With the aesthetic of Normann Copenhagen in mind, this experience becomes one of discovery. The PUSH Speaker creates a wow factor through mystery. Since it is bluetooth there are no wires, further enabling it to remain hidden. The mechanics are blended in with no obvious prompt. To control it, such as turning up/down the volume, one must simply “push” the corners of the speaker, encouraging interaction between human and object.
